CMS with Dynamic Intelligent Page Items

Phil LockeHave you ever wished you could set start and end dates in your content management system (CMS) for when items display?
Or wished you could set up your items so that guests connecting from UK see a different item to people connecting from the USA?
Or wanted to restrict items by IP address?

Now you can... With Fastnet's “Meta Item Module” - a item module that includes other item modules, according to rules that you set up in your CMS.

Fastnet can even incorporate GeoLite Country or City databases from MaxMind, so that we can base your rules on the Country or City names of the people connecting to your site (GeoIP targeting).

Suggested uses
• Make items appear at certain times of the day
• Give items start and end publishing dates
• Control items based on text found in the main body of a page, or the meta-keywords or meta-description of the page. If a certain word or phrase is found... a certain items appears!
• Show a particular items for a certain number of page-views by a guest, then switch to the next items
• Control items such as Forms - show a different form based on where in the world or which city someone is connecting from
• Show different items to people connecting from different countries
• Turn blocks of items on and off together
• Make items appear and disappear, or alternative items appear, for different users, based on user type, group or even login name
• Make a items disappear once someone has logged in
• Control items according to the language settings in the user’s browser
• Control items according to the user’s browser type (e.g. a different item for Firefox versus Internet Explorer)
• Show different items depending on what Section and/or Category the main article on the page is in
• Make different items appear on different pages, for example:
1. Ecommerce: Make different items appear on different ecommerce pages (e.g. product page, category lists, sign-up, check-out, shopping cart, or any time a particular product is shown in detail)
2. Reviews: make different items appear when viewing different category pages
3. Communities: show items based on information in the profile of the logged-in user (e.g. their postcode code)
... and the list goes on.
